Sandy.Lane.Resort.Barbados.jpg

Att 5:48pm Barbados time on Tuesday, Tiger Woods, 28, married his twenty-four year-old fiancee, Swedish beauty Elin Nordegren at the exclusive island resort called Sandy Lane - Luxury Golf and Spa. The bride wore an off-white sleeveless gown with a veil covering her face, according to those who were able to get close to the sunset ceremony, while Woods wore a beige suit.

Nordegren had three bridesmaids dressed in light green. Woods' best man was said to be a childhood friend.

Keeping An Old Tradition

The bride and groom appeared to spend the day apart from one another before taking their vows. She remained offshore on a yacht called "Privacy." He went scuba diving. Their wedding night was spent on the $57 million "Privacy" rather than in one of the two penthouse suites at the resort.

The Wedding Ceremony

The wedding was held in a white-netted pagoda decorated with red roses. Woods reportedly imported 500 red roses for the ceremony.

Swedish Chef Fired for Attracting Too Many Diners

Yahoo! News: A Swedish chef said Thursday he was shocked to find out he will lose his job because his cooking is too good. An engineering company in central Sweden said they won't renew chef Richard Norberg's contract because he attracts too many people to the company's cafeteria. Travels: Sweden to Denmark

As we travel south from Hoor to Copenhagen at about 10:30 pm, the most beautiful full harvest moon appeared on the eastern horizon, just above the flat farmland of Skåne. The moon seems to bulge at the middle; I wonder if this is the result of the light playing tricks in the northern latitudes? We crossed the Oresund Bridge from Malmo to Copenhagen later in the trip. The bridge, which was completed in 2000, connects Sweden with Denmark and... more

Travels: Paris to Stockholm

It's about two and a half hours by plane from Paris to Stockholm, but there is a world of difference: brunette to blonde, chaos to order and opulence to something more spartan. It was partly cloudy when we arrive in Stockholm. Once we got settled at the Lady Hamilton Hotel, I went out in search of a Bancomat and some Swedish Kronor. As I was returning, it began to rain. Swedes seem to be impervious to the rain. I... more
